Hope College's Justin Freeman added another school record to his list of achievements with the Hope College men's track & field team.

The senior from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS) sprinted to the indoor 200-meter record with an adjusted time of 22.68 seconds at the Grand Valley State Tune-Up on Friday in Allendale, Michigan.

Freeman passed the previous record of 22.82 seconds set by Boone Marois in 2016.

School Records

Freeman won the 200-meter final that featured runners from NCAA Division I, II and III competitors. He was clocked at 22.28 seconds, but his time was adjusted because of the style of GVSU's track.

Hope also placed first in the 4x400 relay. Terrell Solberg of Traverse City, Michigan (T.C. Central HS), Owen Ljung of Sonoma, California, Collin Thomas of Novi, Michigan (Novi), and Brenden Jones of Holland, Michigan (Black River) clocked a non-adjusted time of 3:26.01.
