Women's Tennis Posts 24-1 Singles Record at Fall Invitational

Six Hope College women's tennis players posted unbeaten 3-0 singles records at the season-opening Fall Invitational the Flying Dutch hosted last weekend.

The Flying Dutch finished the two-day tournament with a 24-1 singles record.

In the A flight, two seniors led Hope's performances: Claire Hallock of Lakeland, Florida (Harrison Center HS) and Amanda Bandrowski of Traverse City, Michigan (St. Francis).

Junior Leah Newhof of Caledonia, Michigan (Grand Rapids South Christian) and sophomore Sydney Jackson of Fort Wayne, Indiana (Carroll) also went 3-0 in the A flight.

In the B flight, junior Bailey Chorney of Waunakee, Wisconsin (Waunakee) and sophomore Saydee Johns of Holland, Michigan (Holland) won all three of their respective matches.

Hope also finished the tournament 13-1 in doubles matches.

In the B flight, Chorney teamed with freshman Delanie Riebschleger of Rockford, Michigan (Rockford) for a 4-0 record.
