Track and Field's Josh Izenbart Posts Two Top-10 Finishes at GVSU Clinger Classic

Josh Izenbart finished in the top 10 in two events for the Hope College indoor men's track and field team at the Grand Valley State University Bill Clinger Classic on Friday.

The senior from Glenwood, Illinois (Homewood-Flossmoor HS) took seventh in the high jump with a leap of 1.90 meters (6 feet, 2 ¾ inches).

Izenbart also recorded a 10th-place, 60-meter hurdle run of 8.72 seconds.

Sophomore Nick Hoffman of Holland, Michigan (Holland) posted a 12th-place, 1-mile run of 4:20.32 and a 14th-place, 800-meter time of 1:59.11.

Freshman Zachary Elmore of Cadillac, Michigan (Cadillac) was 17th in the pole vault after clearing 3.91 meters (12-10).

The Flying Dutchmen finished in 17th place.

Hope's next meet is Friday, January 31 at Aquinas College.
