Hope College's Korey Derr has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

The senior sprinter from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Northview HS) is honored after his performance during the Grand Valley State University Tune-Up on Friday.

Derr recorded a first-place, 60-meter dash of 7.00 seconds.

He also posted a run of 7.05 seconds during preliminaries.

In the 200 meters, Derr placed fifth by clocking a time of 23.09.

This is the first time Derr has been named the MIAA Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
