Hope College goalkeeper Parker Hutchinson is the MIAA Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week.
The sophomore comprehensive education and special education major from Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern HS) is receiving the honor for the first time.
Hutchinson recorded back-to-back shutouts against opponents last week while totaling eight saves.
Hutchinson lowered her goals-against average for the season to 0.67 while raising her save percentage to .850.
On Saturday, Hutchinson blanked Saint Mary's College in a 3-0 victory on the road with two saves.
On Wednesday, Hutchinson made six saves in a 3-0 nonleague victory against North Central College (Illinois) at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
