Hope College sophomore Sophia Farbarzhevich has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Diving Athlete of the Week.

The Spanish major posted a NCAA Division III regional qualifying score and finished runner-up in 1-meter diving at the Kenyon College (Ohio) Total Performance Invitational last weekend with a total of 412.85 points. 

Farbarzhevich also finished fifth in 3-meter diving with a score of 385.90 points.

This is Farbarzhevich's first MIAA weekly honor.
