The Hope College men's indoor track and field team hit four season-best marks for the Flying Dutchmen at the Grand Valley State University Open on Saturday.
Senior Jared Lowe of Cincinnati, Ohio (Wyoming), pictured, cleared 1.86 meters (6-1 ¼) in the high jump for a season-best performance.
In the 400 meters, three Flying Dutchmen runners surpassed the previous season-best effort.
Sophomore Nathan Woolum (Mattawan, Michigan/Mattawan HS) led the pack by finishing in 50.62 seconds.
He was followed by junior Nathaniel Trumble (Granger, Indiana/Trinity School at Greenlawn) in 50.85 and junior Drew Dow (Bridgman, Michigan/Bridgman) in 51.11.
Dow, Woolum, and Trumble, the anchor, teamed with freshman Eli Meder (Williamston, Michigan/Lansing Catholic) for a season-best 4x400 relay of 3:25.84.
Sophomore Jackson Player (San Antonio, Texas/Winston Churchill) recorded a season-best in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.87.
Hope's next meet is Saturday, February 13 at Trine University.
