Hope College's Abby Koops has been chosen as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Diving Athlete of the Week.

The freshman from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern HS) is claiming the honor for the fourth time in his career.

Koops contributed to the Flying Dutch's repeat as MIAA champions last week at the Holland Aquatic Center.

Koops won on both boards during the MIAA Championships. She opened the diving competition with a score of 474.50 points on the three-meter board on Thursday and recorded a 457.10 score on the one-meter board.

Both were NCAA regional qualifying scores.

After the meet, Koops was selected as the MIAA's Most Valuable Diver.
