It was nearly a clean sweep for the Hope College women's tennis team on Wednesday.
The Flying Dutch defeated Olivet College, 9-0, at DeWitt Tennis Center by winning all but one game during the MIAA match.
Hope raised its record to 2-0 in league matches and 10-7 overall.
In singles play, the Flying Dutch took all six flights, 6-0, 6-0.
At No. 1 singles, senior Sydney Jackson (Fort Wayne, Indiana / Carroll) defeated Makenzie Borg.
At No. 2 singles, freshman Sullivan Patel (Birmingham, Michigan / Wylie E. Groves) topped Ally Sears.
At No. 3 singles, freshman Alexi Lewis (Cedar, Michigan / Traverse City St. Franics) downed Kennedy Karns.
At No. 4 singles, freshman Miyako Coffey (Cedar Rapids, Iowa / St. Xavier) beat Alyssa Davis.
At No. 5 singles, junior Delanie Riebschleger (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford) defeated Jill Arends.
At No. 6 singles, junior Sophia Stamatopoulos (Wheaton, Illinois / Wheaton-Warrenville South) topped Jenna Otten.
In doubles, Jackson and Patel recorded an 8-1 victory at the No. 1 flights against Borg and Sears.
At No. 2 doubles, sophomore Annika Weeber (Rockford, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian) and Coffey defeated Karns and Arends, 8-0.
At No. 3 doubles, senior Saydee Johns (Holland, Michigan / Holland) and Riebschleger topped Otten and Kiandra Marciniak.
Hope's next match is Thursday, April 7, at 4 p.m. at Calvin University.
