Men's Track/Field Claims Team and Individual National Academic Honors

The Hope College men's track and field team earned All-Academic Team honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2021-22 school year.

Additionally, four members of the team were named All-Academic Athletes by the USTFCCCA: Nick Hoffman, Eli Meder, Nathan Trumble and Connor Vachon.

Led by head coach Kevin Cole, the Flying Dutchmen recorded a 3.341 team grade point average.

All four honorees ran on Hope's All-America distance medley relay that finished fourth at the 2022 indoor national championships.

Hoffman (Holland, Michigan / Holland HS) also qualified for the Division III outdoor championships in the 1,500 meters for the second consecutive season. The public accounting major and 2022 graduate claimed all-region honors in the 800 and 1,500 meters and repeated as MIAA champion in the 1,500 meters.

Meder (Williamston, Michigan / Lansing Catholic) sprinted to an MIAA championship in the 800 meters. The junior is majoring in business and economics.

Trumble (Granger, Indiana / Trinity School at Greenlawn) is a 2022 graduate who majored in psychology.

Vachon (Jenison, Michigan / Jenison) earned all-region honors in the 800 meters as a freshman.
