Men's Lacrosse Clinches Outright MIAA Title after Alma Forfeits Saturday's Game

The Hope College men's lacrosse team will finish the season as outright MIAA champion after Alma College forfeited the regular-season finale on Saturday, April 27, at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

The result is recorded a 1-0 Flying Dutchmen victory.

Alma announced on Thursday that it was forfeiting the game for safety and health reasons due to a high number of unavailable players.

Hope concludes the 2024 MIAA season with a 6-0 league record.

The Flying Dutchmen will be the top seed for next week's MIAA Tournament for the fourth time.

Hope (12-3 overall) will host an MIAA Tournament semifinal on Wednesday, May 1, against an opponent and at a time to be determined.

The MIAA Tournament champion received the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
