Men's Golf Rises to Finish 24th at the NCAA Division III Championships

Led by junior Will Webb, the Hope College men's golf team rose on the second-round leaderboard on Wednesday and finished 24th at the NCAA Division III Championships.

The Flying Dutchmen carded a second-round 294 at Boulder City Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada, to close with a 36-hole total of 601 (25-over).

Webb (Lake Forest, Illinois / Lake Forest HS) topped Hope with a 2-under-par 70.

The top 18 teams advanced to the third and fourth rounds. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Calif.) and Wittenberg University (Ohio) shot 12-over and tied for 17th place.

The University of Redlands (Calif.) leads the 43-team field at 13-under.

Webb carded five birdies during his round, including three between the 13th and 18th holes.

Senior Will Robson (Grand Rapids, Michigan / East Grand Rapids) birdied three holes and fired an even-par 72.

Senior Logan DeWitt (Zeeland, Michigan / Holland Christian) and sophomore Liam Casey (Northville, Michigan / Detroit Catholic Central) chipped in 76s.

Junior Ben Jackson (Fort Wayne, Indiana / Carroll) had an 82.
