Men's Lacrosse Heads to RIT for NCAA Division III Tournament Second Round

Hope will play in Rochester, N.Y., on Friday, May 10, at noon.

The Hope College men's lacrosse team is headed to western New York for the NCAA Division III Tournament this weekend.

The 13-3 Flying Dutchmen, who swept MIAA regular-season and Tournament titles, will play at second-ranked Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in the second round on Friday, May 10, at noon.

It will be their first all-time meeting. RIT (17-2) received an at-large berth after finishing runner-up in the Liberty League Tournament after losing to fifth-ranked Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), 15-14, in the title game on Sunday. Hope defeated Albion College, 17-13, in Saturday's MIAA title game.

The Hope-RIT winner will advance to face either No. 10 Babson College (Mass.) or Denison University (Ohio) in the third round on Saturday, May 11, at noon.

This is the Flying Dutchmen's fourth NCAA Tournament appearance and second in a row.

RIT has advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 14th consecutive time and 26th overall. The Tigers are 622-240 all-time (.721) and won a national title in 2021.
