Men's Lacrosse's David Brace and Blaine Hynde Named USILA Scholar All-Americans

Two Hope College men's lacrosse teammates have been selected as United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Scholar All-Americans for the 2024 season: midfielders David Brace and Blaine Hynde.

They are among 178 NCAA Division III honorees and six from the MIAA. The league-champion Flying Dutchmen are the only MIAA team with more than one recipient.

Hynde (Muskegon, Michigan / Reeths-Puffer HS) is a mechanical engineering major who played in all 17 games this season for Hope.

The senior recorded his second double-digit goal season with 10 games while chipping in three assists.

Brace (Plymouth, Michigan / Plymouth) is a business major who played in 15 games this season for the Flying Dutchmen.

The junior finished fourth on the team with 18 points and tied for fourth with 11 goals.

Hope posted a 13-4 overall record this season after reaching the NCAA Division III Tournament second round before losing at eventual national runner-up Rochester Institute of Technology.

The Flying Dutchmen went undefeated in MIAA play with a 6-0 league play and repeated as MIAA Tournament champions.
