Women's Tennis Lands Nine ITA Scholar-Athletes, All-Academic Team Distinction

Nine members of the MIAA-champion Hope College women's tennis team have been selected as 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athletes: graduated senior Annika Weeber; juniors Miyako Coffey and Sullivan Moran; sophomores Amanda Lopykinski and Hope Rhoades; and freshmen Makenna Crandell, Kamryn Dumas, Phoebe Walker and Madison Wei.

The Flying Dutch, led by head coach Austin Hunt, also claimed ITA All-Academic Team distinction.

Weeber (Rockford, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian HS) graduated after majoring in business and Spanish and earned her second ITA Scholar-Athlete accolade.

Coffey (Cedar Rapids, Iowa / Xavier) is a political science major and a first-time ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient.

Moran (Birmingham, Michigan / Wylie E. Groves) is majoring in political science and repeated as an ITA Scholar-Athlete honor.

Lopykinski (Lemont, Illinois / Lemont Township) is a neuroscience major and the MIAA's Most Valuable Women's Tennis Player this season. This is Lopykinski's second ITA Scholar-Athlete award.

Rhoades (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian) is an elementary education major and first-time ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient.

Crandell (Byron Center, Michigan / Byron Center ) is an elementary education major and a first-time ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient.

Dumas (Holland, Michigan / West Ottawa) majors in both philosophy and psychology and claimed ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction for the first time.

Walker (Traverse City, Michigan / Traverse City Central) received her first ITA Scholar-Athlete award.

Wei (Parker, Colorado / Regis Jesuit) is a biomedical and bioelectrical engineering major and a first-time ITA Scholar-Athlete honoree.
