Women's Golf Shoots Season-Low 311, But MIdwest Region Classic Final Round Washed Out

The Hope College women's golf team fired a season-low 311 to close out the Midwest Region Classic on Saturday in Kansasville, Wisconsin.

Not all teams were able to complete Round 2 because of rain, forcing tournament results to be determined by Friday's opening round at Brighton Dale Golf Links. The Flying Dutch finished 11th out of 39 teams.

On Saturday, junior Rachael Jones (Grove City, Ohio / Grove City) fired a 1-over-par 73 on the 5,637-yard course with three birdies and 11 pars.

Senior Sara Muir (Ada, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian) carded a 77.

Freshman Anelise Gatti (Brighton, Michigan / Brighton) and senior Caydee Constant (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven) chipped in 78s.

Freshman Gabby Hanover (Mason, Michigan / Mason) shot an 80.

Junior Jaiden Winters (New Prairie, Indiana / New Prairie) posted an 83.

Senior Allyson Zuidema (Northville, Michigan / Northville) and freshman Kylie Gernaat (Kalamazoo, Michigan / Kalamazoo Christian) had 85s.

Hope's next round is Monday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. at the first MIAA Jamboree of the season at Thornapple Pointe Golf Club in Grand Rapids.
