The Hope College men's swimming & diving team claimed its second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association dual meet win of the season on Saturday with a 121-53 victory at Olivet.
Senior Christopher Waechter of Ventura, California (Foothill Technology), clocked the fastest time in the 50 freestyle at 23.30 and the 100 backstroke at 58.70,
Junior Jeff Zita of Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian HS), won the 100 freestyle in 51.95 seconds and the 200 freestyle in 1:53.22.
Senior Erick Skaff of Flint, Michigan (Carman-Ainsworth HS), took first in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:17.96.
Sophomore Christian Otteman of Zeeland, Michigan (Zeeland East HS), placed first in the 200 individual medley at 2:05.29.
Freshman Kyle Weck of Marshall, Michigan (Marshall HS), won 1-meter diving with a total of 241.80 points.
Junior Trevor Billinghurst of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake HS), posted the top time in the 100 butterfly at 56.29.
Hope won the 200 medley relay with sophomore Danny Sullivan of Columbus, Ohio (Upper Arlington HS), sophomore Trevor Wagoner of Hixson, Tennessee (McCalle HS), Billinghurst and junior Samuel Gallmeyer of Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS), going 1:45.75 and the 200 freestyle relay with freshman Andrew Mitchell of Solon, Ohio (Solon HS), Billinghurst, Waechter and Sullivan going 1:32.17.
Hope next competes on Saturday, Nov. 8, when the Flying Dutch host Kalamazoo for a MIAA dual meet. Start time is 1 p.m. at Kresge Natatorium.
