The Hope College men's swimming & diving team has qualified six individual events and two relays for the championship finals at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships tonight.
The four-day meet at Calvin College resumes tonight at 5:30 p.m.

The Flying Dutchmen were runner-up in the 400-yard medley relay preliminary. Freshman Christian Otteman of Zeeland (Zeeland East HS), sophomore Jeff Zita of Holland (Holland Christian HS), sophomore Nathan Rommel of Overland Park, Kan. (Blue Valley NW HS), and junior Christopher Waechter of Ventura, Calif. (Foothill Technology) teamed for a swim of 3:36.26.
Sophomore Duncan MacLean of Grand Rapids (East Grand Rapids HS) placed third in the 500 freestyle preliminary with a swim of 4:43.65. Freshman Zach Diener of Lake Orion (Lake Orion HS) also qualified for the championship final with an eighth-place effort of 4:49.86.
Hope came in fourth in the 200 freestyle relay preliminary. Freshman Jon Maat of Holland (Holland HS), senior Jake Hunt of Muskegon (Mona Shores HS), pictured, junior William Greenlee of Northville (Northville HS) and senior Andrew Larson of Jackson (Jackson HS) posted a time of 1:29.66.
The Flying Dutchmen had two qualify for the championship heat from the 200 individual medley preliminary. Senior Alexander Perkins of Brighton (Howell HS) was fifth at 1:56.75 and Zita was eighth at 1:57.86.
In the 50 freestyle, Hunt (third at 21.10) and Larson (fifth at 21.16) advanced to the championship final.
Hope is in third place heading into tonight with 32 points. Calvin leads with 40 points, while Albion is second with 34.
