The Hope College men's swimming & diving team claimed two No. 1 seeds during Saturday's preliminaries at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships.
Tonight's finals at Calvin College start at 5:30 p.m. Hope is in second place with 437 points. Calvin (544) leads.

Senior Jake Hunt of Muskegon (Mona Shores HS) tied for the top seed in the 100-yard freestyle. He and Albion's Brian Fiorillo each finished in 46.38 seconds.
Hope senior Andrew Larson of Jackson (Jackson HS) is fifth after a preliminary time of 46.49.
Sophomore Jeff Zita of Holland (Holland Christian HS) grabbed the No. 1 seed in the 200 breaststroke. He posted a preliminary time of 2:05.06.
Freshman Christian Otteman of Zeeland (Zeeland East) is seeded third in the 200 backstroke after a preliminary swim of 1:56.39. Freshman Danny Sullivan of Columbus, Ohio (Upper Arlington HS), is sixth at 1:57.38.
Sophomore Nathaniel Rommel of Overland Park, Kan. (Blue Valley NW HS), is in the 200 butterfly final after a fifth-place, preliminary swim of 1:58.13.
Hope is seeded fifth in the 400 freestyle relay. Senior Alexander Perkins of Brighton (Howell HS), Sullivan, Otteman and freshman Trevor Wagoner of Hixson, Texas (McCalle HS), went 3:29.00 during preliminaries.
