Nine Hope College swimmers and three divers are among the All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Team honorees for the 2013-14 season.
Four Hope women's swimmers earned the recognition for the second time in their swimming careers: senior Maria Kieft of Spring Lake (Spring Lake HS), sophomore Klare Northuis of Holland (Holland HS), sophomore Jorgie Watson of Grand Rapids (Catholic Central HS) and Lindsay Wiederhold of Plainwell (Plainwell HS).
One women's diver became a two-time, All-MIAA honoree: sophomore Sarah Sheridan of Richmond, Ind. (Richmond HS). Sheridan was named MIAA Diver of the Year at the meet.
First-time honorees from the Flying Dutch were: junior diver Erica Dunham of Rockford (Rockford HS), swimmer Michelle Hance of Noblesville, Ind. (Noblesville HS), and freshman Molly Meyer of South Bend, Ind. (John Adams HS).
The Flying Dutchmen put three swimmers and one diver on the 2013-14 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Swimming & Diving Team.
Senior Jake Hunt of Muskegon (Mona Shores HS) earned All-MIAA honors for the second time in his career.
Sophomore Jeff Zita of Holland (Holland Christian HS) and freshman Zach Diener of Lake Orion (Lake Orion HS) are first-team honorees as swimmers for the first time.
Freshman diver Jean-Luc Miralda of Tegucigalpa, Honduras (The American School) also represented Hope on the All-MIAA team.
