Jean-Luc Miralda won 3-meter diving for the Hope College men's swimming & diving team during a 181-113 loss at Calvin on Saturday.

The Flying Dutchmen finished Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association dual meets with a 3-2 record. They will host the MIAA Championships on February 11-14 at Holland Community Aquatic Center.

Miralda scored 300.2 points in 3-meter diving. The sophomore from Tegucigalpa, Honduras (American HS), also finished second in 1-meter diving with a score of 267.8 points.

Hope was runner-up in 10 other events.

Sophomore Christian Otteman of Zeeland, Michigan (Zeeland East HS), took second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 54.4 seconds and the 200 individual medley with a swim of 2:03.6.

Freshman Charlie Emmert of Grand Blanc, Michigan (Flint Powers Catholic HS), placed runner-up in the 100 butterfly at 54.34 and the 200 butterfly at 1:58.01.

Junior Trevor Billinghurst of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake HS), recorded the second-fastest time in the 50 freestyle at 22.20.

Sophomore Ryan Johnson of Milford, Michigan (International Academy), posted a runner-up effort in the 100 freestyle of 48.85.

Junior Duncan MacLean of Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS), clocked a second-place swim in the 500 freestyle of 5:00.96.

Freshman Mike Wurster of Indianapolis, Indiana (Brebeuf Jesuit Prep) was second in the 200 backstroke at 2:01.25.

Junior Jeff Zita of Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian HS), placed runner-up in the 200 breaststroke at 2:15.79.

Hope's 400 freestyle of senior Erick Skaff of Flint, Michigan (Carman-Ainsworth HS), junior Nathan Rommel of Overland Park, Kansas (Blue Valley NW), junior Micah Sall of Zeeland, Michigan (Zeeland East HS), and freshman Austin Bessinger of West Olive, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), took second in 3:30.00.
