Junior Jean Luc Miralda of Tegucigalpa, Honduras (Honduras Academy) set a school record in diving during a 156-143 loss at Kalamazoo on Saturday.
Miralda broke his own 1-meter record for a dual meet with a first-place score of 287.40 points.
The Flying Dutchmen won a total of five events during their first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association dual meet of the season.
Miralda also finished first in 3-meter diving with a score of 273.20 points.
Senior Trevor Billinghurst of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake HS) won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.67 seconds.
Junior Christian Otteman of Zeeland, Michigan (Zeeland East HS) clocked the fastest time in the 200 backstroke at 2:01.93.
Freshman Seth DeWitt of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville HS) finished first in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:39.06.
The Flying Dutch return to action on Saturday, Nov. 14 when they host Olivet at Kresge Natatorium.
