Hope College junior Jean Luc Miralda of Tegucigalpa, Honduras (Honduras American) won 1-meter diving on Friday during the first day of the Wabash Patrick Woehnker Invitational in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Miralda, pictured, posted a score of 449.15 points.

The Flying Dutchmen are third place with 122 points. They trail DePauw, Indiana (284) and Wabash (235).

Saturday's competition begins at 10 a.m.

Hope finished third in the 200 freestyle relay. Senior Trevor Billinghurst of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake HS), junior Jonathon Maat of Holland, Michigan (Holland HS), senior Samuel Gallmeyer of Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS) and junior Ryan Johnson of Milford, Michigan (International Academy HS) went 1 minute, 27.81 seconds.

Junior Christian Otteman of Zeeland, Michigan (Zeeland East HS) took third in the 200 individual medley at 2:03.61.
