The Hope College men's swim and dive team took on Day Two of the Kenyon Invitational with a splash. The 20th-ranked Flying Dutchmen took home 14 top 15 finishes.
Senior diver Kamaron Wilcox and freshmen swimmers Colin Kalkman and Christian Dunaitis recorded top five finishes.
Wilcox (Ada, Michigan / Forest Hills Central HS) achieved fourth place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 451.70.
Kalkman (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian) recorded a time of 50.26 in the 100-yard butterfly. His time was the fifth fastest all-time for the Flying Dutchmen.
Dunaitis (Commerce Township, Michigan / Detroit Catholic Central) put up a 100 breaststroke time of 56.70 for his 5th place finish. His time was fifth fastest all-time for the Flying Dutchmen.
Five other swimmers would notch Top 10 performances for the Flying Dutchmen: 100 butterfly, 400 IM, 100 breaststroke, and the 200 free.
Sophomore Ben Catton (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian) clocked a time of 48.81 for a 7th place finish in the 100-yard butterfly finals. Freshman Joel Cummins (Osceola, Indiana / Penn) would take home 10th after finishing with a time of 51.13.
Sophomore Conor East (Farmington Hills, Michigan / North Farmington) grabbed sixth in the 400-yard IM after a 4:05.96 time in the water. His time was sixth fastest all-time for the Flying Dutchmen.
Sophomore Reilly LaGrand (Grand Rapids, Michigan / Catholic Central) finished ninth with a time of 58.40 in the 100-yard breaststroke. His time was the ninth fastest all-time for the Flying Dutchmen.
Freshman Conner Halberg (Novi, Michigan / Northville) earned ninth place in the 200-yard free after clocking 1:42.17.
In the 200 medley relay, Hope placed seventh. Catton, Kalkman, Dunaitis, and Cummins swam a time of 1:31.62.
