The Hope College men's lacrosse team reeled off three unanswered goals to claim a 10-8 victory against Siena Heights University on Monday.

The Flying Dutchmen upped their record to 4-1 on the season.

Senior Zach Wiggins (Kalamazoo, Michigan / Mattawan HS), pictured, matched his career-high with five goals, including the game-winner with 5 minutes, 27 seconds remaining at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

Hope overcame a 7-5 halftime deficit after yielding five second-quarter goals to Siena Heights.

Wiggins and sophomore Michael Mann (Plymouth, Michigan / Detroit Jesuit) both struck for third-quarter goals to even the score at 7-7.

Siena Heights grabbed the lead back briefly 34 seconds into the fourth quarter on a Logan Hudnut goal.

Freshman Nick McCreery (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford) pulled the Flying Dutchmen back even two minutes later.

With 5:27 remaining, Wiggins capitalized on an extra-man opportunity with his team-leading 17th goal of the season off an assist from freshman James Conlon (The Hill Academy). 

Junior Alex Goodall (Clarkston, Michigan / Lutheran Northwest) sealed the outcome with 2:55 remaining.

Goalie Ian Bosman (Centennial, Colorado / Cherry Creek) made 11 saves for the Flying Dutchmen.

Siena Heights received three goals from Jake Gallaher and two from Hudnut. The Saints fell to 1-3.
