Hope College's Chloe Haskins has been chosen as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Softball Pitcher of the Week.
The senior righthander and psychology major from Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS) has claimed the honor for the first time in her Flying Dutch career.
Haskins fired a no-hitter and recorded a 1.38 ERA over three appearances in Clermont, Fla., last week.
During an 8-0, five-winning win against Wellesley College (Mass.) on March 21, Haskins tossed a five-inning, no-hitter with eight strikeouts and two base runners allowed on a fielding error and hit batter.
During an 8-0, five-winning victory against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on March 22, Haskins pitched a one-hitter with four strikeouts.
Haskins struck 13 batters against Eau Claire, and St. Olaf College (Minn.). She threw three innings and St. Olaf and did not register a decision.
