Men's Swim/Dive Achieves CSCAA Scholar All-America Distinction

The Hope College men's swimming and diving team claimed Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America for the spring semester.

To qualify for the recognition, teams must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the Spring 2024 semester.

Led by head coach Jake Taber, the Flying Dutchmen finished the semester with a 3.23 GPA.

Samantha Barany, executive director of the CSCAA, praised the 722 men's and women's award recipients from 417 different institutions.

"The commitment to academic excellence shown by these teams is truly admirable," Barany said in a statement. "It's inspiring to see student-athletes excelling both in the pool and in their studies. The CSCAA takes great pride in acknowledging and celebrating the dedication and perseverance of these teams."
