Nine Make All-MIAA Men's Swimming and Diving Team

Nine members of the 25th-ranked Hope College men's swimming and diving team made the 2025 All-MIAA Team: seniors Christian Dunaitis, Conner Halberg and Colin Kalkman; sophomores Josh Bordovsky, Graham Eisenmann and Alex Pierce; and freshmen Everett Cox, Joe Engle and Luke Newcomb.

The group helped the Flying Dutchmen finish runner-up at last week's MIAA Championships with 1,060 points, just 43 points out of first place. It was the first time in league history two teams scored more than 1,000 points at the meet.

Bordovsky (Herdon, Virginia / South Lakes HS) received All-MIAA accolades for the first time after placing second in the 200-yard individual medley and fourth in both the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke. Bordovsky also swam on Hope's second-place 200 and 400 freestyle and 400 medley relays.

Cox (Sugar Land, Texas / Logos Prep) claimed All-MIAA recognition for the first time after swimming on the Flying Dutchmen's runner-up 200 freestyle relay and third place in the 200 butterfly and 200 freestyle.

Dunaitis (Commerce Township, Michigan / Detroit Catholic Central) is a four-time All-MIAA selection. The business major repeated as MIAA champion in the 100 breaststroke while placing runner-up in the 100 breaststroke and sixth in the 200 individual medley.

Eisenmann (Ozark, Missouri / Ozark) is All-MIAA for the first time after finishing in the top four in three individual events at the league meet and led off Hope's runner-up 800 freestyle relay. The computer science major placed third in the 100 freestyle and fourth in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.

Engle (Holland, Michigan / West Ottawa) received All-MIAA recognition after earning MIAA titles in the 500 and 1,650 freestyle, swimming on the Flying Dutchmen's second-place 800 freestyle relay and taking sixth in the 200 freestyle.

Halberg (Novi, Michigan / Northville) earned All-MIAA honors for the fourth time. The public accounting and business major posted a third-place finish in the 500 freestyle and fourth-place efforts in the 200 and the 1,650 freestyle.

Kalkman (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian) is an All-MIAA selection for the fourth time. The biology major finished runner-up in six events: 100 and 200 backstroke, 100 butterfly, 400 medley relay, and 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

Newcomb (Brighton, Michigan / Brighton) claimed All-MIAA accolades for the first time after becoming league champion in the 100 breaststroke, placing runner-up in the 200 breaststroke and fourth place in the 200 individual medley.
