The Hope College men's swimming and diving team won two events during a non-league dual meet with Carthage College (Wisconsin) on Friday at the Dow Center.
Daniel Keith took first in the 200-yard freestyle swim, while Kamaron Wilcox topped the field in 3-meter diving. Carthage won the meet, 169-110.
Keith clocked a winning 200 freestyle time of 1 minute, 43.77 seconds. The junior from Saline, Michigan (Saline HS) also finished runner-up in the 50 freestyle at 21.75 seconds and the 200 individual medley at 1:58.10.
Wilcox won 3-meter diving with a score of 242.78 points. The sophomore from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central) also placed second in 1-meter diving with a total of 246.60 points.
Hope recorded runner-up performances in 10 other events.
Senior Seth Costello of Williamston, Michigan (Williamston) posted second-place efforts in the 100 backstroke at 57.43 seconds and the 200 backstroke at 2:03.47.
The Flying Dutchmen's next meet is Saturday, February 1 against Kalamazoo College. The Senior Day meet at the Dow Center is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
