Hope College sophomore Conor East is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Swimming Athlete of the week for the first time.
The native of Farmington Hills, Michigan (North Farmington HS) clocked two of the Top 10 times in Hope history during the Kenyon College (Ohio) Total Performance Invitational last week.
On Friday, East recorded Hope's sixth-fastest swim in the 400 individual medley at 4 minutes, 5.96 seconds.
On Thursday, East had Hope's seventh-fastest all-time swim in the 200 IM at 1:53.41 and placed fifth in the meet.
East also came in fourth in the 200 butterfly at 1:51.43.
