Men's Diver Kamaron Wilcox Voted as Inaugural Recipient of MIAA's Senior Impact Award

Hope College diver Kamaron Wilcox is the male honoree of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's inaugural Senior Impact Award for men's swimming and diving.

The senior from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central HS) was voted as the recipient in a vote by the league's coaches.

Alma College swimmer Jennifer Ostrowksi was the women's recipent.

Wilcox is a two-time College Swimming Coaches Association of America All-American who also is a three-time MIAA diving champion and 2020 MIAA Men's Diver of the Year.

In the classroom, Wilcox carries a 3.96 grade point average while majoring in physics and minoring in both mathematics and religion.

Wilcox has been involved with the Hope community as well as the local community.

For two years, Wilcox has led small groups for Exodus 90, an intense program of asceticism aimed at growing a relationship with God through daily sacrifice and prayer. 

Wilcox also co-led Ignis, a charismatic Catholic prayer group open to all. 

On campus, Wilcox has been a Time to Serve volunteer. It is an annual event on campus held in September.

Off campus, Wilcox served as an usher as well as an altar server, lector, sacristan and cross bearer for St. Francis de Sales Catholic Parish and St. Benedict Institute masses.
