Four Hope College men's swimmers will race in next month's NCAA Division III Championships.
Sophomore Ben Catton has qualified in two individual events as well as in the 400-yard medley relay with junior Jack Muller, freshman Conner Halberg, and freshman Colin Kalkman.
Additionally, sophomore diver Ewan Tiongson has qualified for the NCAA Division III Diving Regional on Friday-Saturday, Feb. 25-26, hosted by Calvin University.
Four regional meets will determine who advances to nationals. The 2022 NCAA Championships are Wednesday-Saturday, March 16-19, at the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Natatorium.
Catton will compete in the 100-yard backstroke and the 100-yard butterfly.
The sophomore from Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian) was MIAA champion in both events, setting meet records in both events and the school record in the 100 backstroke.
The Flying Dutchmen won the MIAA title in the 400 medley relay with a meet-record and school-record tie of 3:18.14.
Hope claimed the MIAA team championship for the 13th time in school history.
