The Hope College men's swimming and diving team's 800-yard freestyle relay finished 19th at the NCAA Division III Championships on Friday in Indianapolis.
Freshman Conner Halberg, freshman Colin Kalkman, sophomore Ben Catton, and junior Jack Muller clocked a time of 6 minutes, 52.39 seconds.
Halberg (Novi, Michigan / Northville HS) recorded a 200-yard split of 1:41.60.
Kalkman (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian) clocked a time of 1:41.86.
Catton (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian) swam a split of 1:43.18.
Muller (Queensland, Australia / Meridian State) finished with a time of 1:45.27.
In the 100 backstroke, Catton placed 33rd with a preliminaries swim of 49.85.
The four-day meet at Indiana University Purdue University at Indiainapolis concludes on Saturday, March 18, beginning with preliminaries at 10 a.m.
