Men's Swim/Dive Adds Second All-America Relay During Day 2 of the NCAA Championships

Hope finishes 12th in the 200-yard freestyle for Second Team All-America accolades

The Hope College men's swimming and diving team claimed All-America honors for the second time in as many days at the NCAA Division III Championships.

The Flying Dutchmen finished 12th in the 200-yard freestyle relay on Thursday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, to earn Second Team All-America accolades.

Freshman Josh Bordovsky (Herndon, Virginia / South Lakes HS), sophomore Graham Eisenmann (Ozark, Missouri / Ozark), senior Colin Kalkman (Zeeland, Michigan / Holland Christian) and freshman George Marsh (Bloomfield Hills, Michigan / Seaholm) matched their finish during prelims after clocking a finals time of 1 minute, 20.76 seconds.

The relay improved on its prelims time of 1:21.11.

It is the second consecutive season and the 13th overall Hope has achieved All-America distinction in the 200 freestyle relay.

During the morning session, Kalkman placed 27th during the 100 butterfly prelims with a swim of 48.77 seconds.

The Flying Dutchmen moved up two spots in the team standings to 26th place with 18 points.

Denison University (Ohio) leads with 166 points, 40 more than second-place Kenyon College (Ohio).


Day 3 of the four-day meet begins on Friday, March 21, at 10 a.m. with prelims. Finals follow at 6 p.m.
