Women's Swim Lands Two More All-America Efforts, Finishes 15th at NCAA Championships

The Hope College women's swimming and diving team closed the NCAA Division III Championships with two more All-America performances and the third consecutive Top 20 team finish at nationals on Saturday in Greensboro, N.C.

The MIAA champion Flying Dutch finished the four-day meet with a 15th-place total of 61 points.

Hope collected nine All-America efforts at the Greensboro Aquatic Center since Wednesday: one first-team and eight second-team.

The Flying Dutchmen took 10th at nationals in 2023 and 19th in 2022.

On Saturday, junior Sara Kraus (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford HS) led the Flying Dutch by finishing 10th in the 200-yard backstroke.

Kraus clocked a time of 2 minutes, 1.35 seconds during the consolation final for her third All-America accolade in the event.

Junior Greta Gidley (Franklin, Michigan / Mercy) placed 15th in the 100 freestyle for All-America Second Team honors in the event.

Gidley recorded a swim of 51.78 seconds during the consolation final.
